Appraisal Workfile Mystery

USPAP and the State Licensing Board require an appraiser to keep a workfile for every assignment, a rule that causes anxiety and apprehension for many practitioners. HB2001 Update

Enacted in 2019 and effective 2020, HB2001 requires that municipalities meeting certain population benchmarks and meeting certain other criteria come into compliance with the law by 2022. HB 2001 has legislated the inclusion of middle housing in areas zoned single residenial. In those two years, each municipality will go through the process of writing and adapting ordinaces, new and existing, to accommodate the inclusion. Magg Brinkley, City of Medford, will be visiting us once a quarter during 2021 and 2022 to update us on how the rule-writing is going. 2 CEs.

Code of Ethics - GP

To maintain  your status as a REALTOR(R), you are required by NAR to take the Code of Ethics class once every 3-year cycle. This is not a requrement of the Real Estate Agency - it is a NAR requirement and it runs on a calendar year cycle. Cycle 6, our current cycle, will end on December 31, 2021. If you did not take Code of Ethics in 2019, you must take it in 2020 OR 2021. 

The only other Code of Ethics classes now accepted by NAR as fulfillment of your requirement are live classes hosted by an Association, an online version available February 2020 on the OAR website, and NAR's own online class on its website. No other cerrtificates from other sources will fulfill the requirement. 

If you earn the Code of Excellence endorsement, you will also have fulfilled your requirement.
