2020-2021 USPAP 7-Hour Update

As the class on December 12th topped out at capacity, we are adding a second section of the 2020-2021 USPAP update here. If you were closed out of the last class, here's your chance to become familiar with the new USPAP. Deadline for registration is 12/23/19. Appraisal Workfile Mystery

USPAP and the State Licensing Board require an appraiser to keep a workfile for every assignment, a rule that causes anxiety and apprehension for many practitioners. This course is designed to address the most common question appraisers have -- "What are they looking for in a workfile?" We will concentrate on key components of a typical audit and common shortcomings in workfiles as well as gain a better understanding of the importance of key terms such as summarize and analyze in relation to workfile compliance.

CANCELED: Appraising Manufactured, Modular & Panelized Homes

This class will look at the basic types of factory-buiilt housing including the Next Generation "ChoiceHome", a new type of home that is built to HUD codes but incorporates a series of site-built features. We'll also look at the specific requirements of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA and USDA for both traditional manufacturted homes and the Next Generation models, and the new Manufactured Home Quality Rating Worksheet.

The Appraiser as an Expert Witness - CANCELED

This class has been canceled. 

Many appraisers looking for ways to expand their business avoid offering expert witness and litigation services because they fear the unknown. In this course, the general civil action process is discussed in detail, including pre-trial procedures and what to expect once on the witness stand. The course also explores the appraiser's duties to the professional standards of ethics and competency and preparing for testimony.

USPAP Update for 2022/2023

New Date: December 15th. This class is being developed by the Appraisal Standards Board to provide new and updated material for the 2022-2023 CE cycle. Although at this point the 2020-2021 Edition of USPAP has only been extended for 1 ydear, this class will be effectivve for 2 years. Anyone who has taken the National USPAPUpdate Course between January 2020 and December 2021 will need to take thsi cocurse prior to December 31, 2023.
